Eight to twelve weeks out
- Confirm move dates with both buildings and request their contractor rules.
- Assign one internal owner for the move.
- Plan IT and telecoms cutover separately from the furniture move.
Two to four weeks out
- Send the removalist's certificate of currency to both building managers.
- Book loading docks and goods lifts for after-hours slots.
- Label every desk, crate and monitor with a code matched to the new floor plan.
The move itself
- Most office moves run on a Friday evening or over a weekend.
- Crates are delivered to the desk position on the plan, not to a pile.
