Interstate removals from Sydney

Interstate moves are priced and run differently from local ones. Understanding the options makes quotes much easier to compare.

How interstate moves are priced

Interstate quotes are normally based on volume (often in cubic metres) and distance, not hours. An accurate inventory, or a few photos of each room, makes the quote much tighter.

Dedicated or shared truck

  • Dedicated truck: your belongings only, faster and more predictable, usually more expensive.
  • Shared load or backload: shares space with other moves, cheaper, with a wider delivery window.
  • Ask whether your goods stay on one truck the whole way or are transferred at a depot.

Before you book

  • Agree the pickup date and a written delivery window.
  • Confirm what transit insurance covers and how claims work.
  • Check access at the destination, especially apartments.
